Xarios Technologies is an independent software vendor specializing in applications for SME and mid-range enterprises. Established in 2007, Xarios Technologies designs, develops, and supplies a range of telecom applications that enhance the functionality and usability of communications platforms. Xarios delivers its solutions to end-users via a network of partners and resellers active in different countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Challenges

From a billing perspective, Xarios was facing two challenges. Firstly, they operate in different countries with different tax regimes. Secondly, they have a two-stage billing process, where Xarios bills the reseller and the reseller in turn bills the end-user based on the usage data provided by Xarios. While Xarios has no direct (billing) relation with the end-user, the company is obligated to provide their resellers all the relevant and necessary usage data they need to bill their customers.

Xarios was looking for a solution that allows them to implement a process in which all required data from resellers and users is automated, processed and transformed into invoices and specifications. These invoices and specifications then need to be approved and distributed monthly to the resellers. Xarios was looking for a solution that resulted in a billing process that is agile, complete, on time, and future-proof.
